I was born and raised in Miami. I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering. Shortly after graduating, I moved from Miami to the Bay Area to work as a Software Engineer.
I was introduced to functional fitness by watching the Games on ESPN and knew that it was something that I wanted to try out. I thought it was pretty cool to see all of fit people with abs lifting weights, jumping over walls, and climbing 20 foot long ropes. I always enjoyed lifting weights, but I was getting bored of doing the traditional bodybuilding routines at the gym, and the home workout programs. A few months after moving to the Bay Area, I first noticed TracFit at a Regional competition in 2012. I was shocked to see this huge community cheering on Coach Annie! I decided to join TracFit and I enjoyed working out at TracFit since Day 1. It opened my eyes to new things. Constantly mixing elements of weightlifting, gymnastics, and running in fun and creative ways. It always challenged me both physically and mentally.
After starting training, I realized that our fitness journey is never ending. There isn’t a peak that you reach and state that you have arrived. You can always work on a skill to make you better. You can always venture out and try new things, inside and outside of the gym.
So far I have lost 35 pounds and still have a few more to go, but I have no doubt in my mind that I will reach and surpass my goals. Because of TracFit, I know that I am healthier and stronger than I ever have been. My mentality towards training is completely different. Training and my health are now a big priority in my life.
I am thrilled to be part of this great team of coaches and this community. I want to give back to this community by motivating and inspiring others to improve their health and fitness as well.
