My name is Trac Nguyen and I am blessed to have the opportunity to lead this community. I was never that big into fitness, but after coming across functional training, it has completely changed my life for the better in every way possible. Now, I’m just trying to pay it forward.

Three years out from an active college life, I found myself stuck in a cycle of working long hours in a highly stressful engineering department, sitting in a cubicle all day, downing energy drinks and fast food, and becoming increasingly overweight and stressed out. I wanted to get back into the gym and use something besides food and alcohol as coping mechanisms to the stress that was burying me.

After unsuccessfully trying many health magazine routines and “DVD” workout programs at the gym, I came across some functional fitness videos online where I watched gladiator like men and women perform workouts that were incomprehensible to me at the time. What I could comprehend was that all these people who were doing high intensity functional training were ridiculously fit and I wanted to find out how they got that way. After a month of researching (more like stalling), I tried my first workout, one which I will never forget for the rest of my life, and became hooked.

Before training, I could not run a 1 mile without stopping, after 3 months of training, I was able to run a 5k in 22 minutes, lost 35lbs, went from 20+% body fat to under 10%, and was in the fittest shape of my life. After 6 years of training, I can literally say that I am just getting fitter and fitter with each coming day.

I have always had a passion for leadership and teaching, and training presented me a unique opportunity to apply that passion towards helping others benefit from the same results that I found from functional fitness training. After leaving the industry that I went to school for, I dedicated myself towards gaining the experience necessary to be an effective trainer and I now find myself leading a dedicated staff that shares my same passion in teaching others about training and showing them a different way towards a fitter life. Together, our mission is to change lives for the better.
